SafeBAE's Mission
SafeBAE is a survivor-founded, student-led national organization whose mission is to end sexual assault among middle and high school students. As the only national peer-to-peer organization of their kind, they help promote culture change by giving teens the tools to become activists and shift school culture through raising awareness about dating violence, sexual harassment and assault, affirmative consent, safe bystander intervention, survivor care, and their rights under Title IX.
They believe in the power of young students to prevent sexual assault in middle and high school. Awareness + Action = Culture Change.

CONSENT EDUCATION
SafeBAE’s mission is to provide comprehensive Consent Education to students, educators, and caregivers. We know that without proper information and discussion about consent, starting at an early age, we are failing this generation.

Outreach to school boards across the country to ensure their understanding of obligations under Title IX and provide them best practices for student codes of conduct and department responses.
LEGISLATION
Promote consent education legislation in every state.

BAE CODE
TEACHING BYSTANDER INTERVENTION
BAEcode is meant to disrupt the familiar “Bro Code” and the idea that we’re only watching out for our own group of people. BAEcode envisions a world where we hold each other accountable for kindness, standing up, and stepping in when we see something wrong.
SafeBae launched this new campaign during Sexual Assault Awareness Month in 2018 as a way to enhance the SafeBAE Squads active bystander intervention tools, which teaches and empowers teens to prevent sexual harassment and assault in their own peer groups.
#KnowB4Unude
In this PSA about sending nudes – otherwise known as ‘sexting’- we explore the risks, pressures, and realities of what can happen when teens share intimate photographs. The messages most kids get from adults is “just don’t do it,” but sending nudes has still continued to grow into a cultural norm across all ages. Their script and concept were developed with input from their BAE Breakers (student ambassadors) around the country, so we could approach the issue in a non-judgmental way.
SafeBae is able to offer a new resource to their community with a monthly gathering for survivors. Starting January 2, 2021, SafeBae will be hosting a virtual gathering of survivors on the first Saturday of each month.
